About Us
Friends For Life Humane Society became a reality in the 1990's in the town of Pahrump.
We are a volunteer run, all breed dog rescue serving Las Vegas and the surrounding communities.
Our mission is to rescue and rehome dogs whose lives are in danger whether it be from city and county shelter euthanization or from homelessness out on the street.
Our dream is to give homeless dogs a chance at living a life of love with a family, by saving them from being euthanized, providing all their needs including spaying/neutering, vaccinations, microchipping and other health related surgeries, rehabilitation/behavioral training to placing these formerly homeless dogs into responsible, loving forever homes, no matter how long it takes.
Since then we have become one of the leading dog rescues in Nevada, finding each one a forever home and providing sanctuary for those dogs whose age, medical or behavioral personalities prevent or delay them from going into a forever home. They will have a home with Friends For Life Humane Society forever and we will never give up trying to find them their own family.
Through generous contributions, we have a facility in Pahrump where our dogs live in large indoor/outdoor kennels with year round air conditioning/heating, 1 acre dog park, and 24/7 care from our team, who live on site and along with other dedicated volunteers who all work relentlessly ensuring each dog has a great quality of life during his/her stay with us.
Friends For Life Humane Society achieved it's 501(c)(3) status in 2007 and as a non-profit organization. We are supported by contributions and donations from the community and by volunteers who are passionate about helping each and every dog get into and stay in a loving home. This brings a whole lot of happiness to people and pets.
Adoptions are not about making money, this is why our adoption fees are low and affordable. It's about saving the lives of dogs and enriching the lives of people and dogs by uniting them with each other through adoptions.
We provide a better future for each and every dog that comes into our rescue.
